Denise Rappaport founded Halo House Animal Resort more than twenty five years ago, because she couldn’t find a “home away from home” for her own furry loved ones that met her high standards of pet care. She felt that if she was going on vacation, so should her dog. In fact, it made vacations less fun thinking of her dog stuck in a little “cage” while she was away. That’s why Halo House Animal Resort offers the comforts of home and plenty of loving care to all our guests.
Denise started in the pet care industry over thirty-nine years ago, when she opened her first dog walking business after working in corporate America. She also raised and showed Standard Poodles and Neapolitan Mastiffs professionally.
Nothing is more important to Denise than the health and happiness of your pet! Continuous education for the staff in pet care, first aid, CPR and dog behavior has always been a priority at Halo House. Denise has always taken pride in teaching and sharing her experiences with the staff, to ensure the safety, health and well being of all our guests.
Twenty-Two years ago, Denise made one the best decisions ever, she decided to partner with Kathy Tanguay. Kathy’s thirty-eight years of experience includes breeding, handler and trainer, pet behaviorist, and is a certified vet technician. With both at the helm Halo House Animal Resort has been voted best of the best for the past 15 years.
Together, Denise and Kathy have strove to ensure every Halo House guest is well taken care of, safety and enjoys their vacation.
Halo House Animal Resort is an activity based pet resort, that offers many options and amenities for our guest from private pools in our guest rooms, our four season heated inground pool, playtimes, business walks, cuddle time with a bed time story, happy hour treats, continuous maid service and full service grooming salons to make sure every guest goes home fresh and clean after they have played in our seven play yards with tunnels and playground equipment .
