Conformation Training
This course prepares you and your dog for competition in the world of dog shows and if you are already a participant, will help you and your dog practice the skills it takes to Win! Teams will focus on the judge’s exam, learning to “move” properly in the ring and how to best “present” your dog. As dogs progress, ring “situations” may be introduced. We will be focusing on the new procedures for dog shows since COVID, including wearing masks, and familiarizing them with the smells of sanitizer and gloves,. We will also be bringing “sound bytes” of crowds, etc., for the younger dogs who haven’t had the opportunity to be socialized to the show world since March. This will be a good place to introduce that up and coming young show dog that hasn’t been able to be in the show ring because of this virus. We will keep it fun and upbeat, even for the nervous dog or handler.

This course will introduce dog and handler teams to the exciting sport of Rally Obedience, or will help those already competing finesse their skills for higher scores. We will work on individual skills required, work on short sequence of “stations” and finish the course session with a “run through”! Rally exercises are a great, fun way to sharpen obedience skills even if you do not enter competitions. This is a low key, low stress sport and our goal is to make it fun for the dog and handler!
