All cancellations must be done no later than 5 days prior to your arrival or there will be a 2 (two) day boarding charge for all pets with reservations.
To pick up earlier than scheduled, please call to notify us a minimum of two days ahead of the new pick up day. This will enable us to allow another client to occupy that space. If no call is made, then you will be charged till your regular pick up date was made.
Pets who are picked up more than 24 hours early, will be charged 50% of the remaining boarding reservation.
Fleas
All boarding dogs must be free of fleas or be given a Capstar and a Flea Bath at the owner's expense before entering our facility. Owners must provide proof of vaccinations/titers for their dog before it can stay at our facility.
Extensions and Abandonment
Customers needing to change the duration of their pet's stay should notify us as soon as possible. We will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate such changes. If a pet is left at Halo House Animal Resort for more than 10 days after its scheduled pick-up date, and we have been unable to contact the pet’s owner, we may consider that pet abandoned. Halo House Animal Resort reserves the right to seek a new home for an abandoned pet, and/or seek all legal remedies against the abandoning owner. Upon reservation, all customers authorize a credit card charge of $500.00, which will be used to defray our costs in case of abandonment.
Food
This facility feeds Grandma Mae’s Country Naturals Dog Food and for our kitties we feed Nutro Max Cat Food. However, we urge you to bring the food your pet normally eats. We provide bowls for feeding, so please leave your bowls, plastic containers, and measuring cups at home.
Bedding
At this time, due to the canine influenza virus, we will not be accepting bedding or cloth items with your pet, for your pet's safety and health.
Bathing
Dogs vacationing with us play hard and enjoy rolling in the grass. This is an excellent time at the end of the visit to get a refreshing groom or bath and to go home looking and smelling great. Save money - 10% off of the price of a groom and your pet's last day here ends not at 11:00 a.m. (we are grooming on the last day), but late in the afternoon.
Holiday Stays
We accept holiday reservations in advance with a credit card guarantee. Any cancellation made inside of 48 hours of the reservation will be charged a 2 day stay. We reserve the right to require a minimum number of days for your pets stay in order to make a holiday reservation. The minimum day requirement varies, depending on the holiday.
Rates
All rates are subject to change, without notice.
Boarding Charges
Boarding charges are incurred for the first days stay, regardless of the arrival time that day. There is no charge for the pet's last day of stay, if the pet is picked up before 11:00 a.m.
Medication
Medication will be accepted as long as it is in the original container. We do not accept medicine put in the dogs food or loose in a bag unless it is a non-prescription item.
Safety
For the safety of all pets and visitors, all pets are to be required to be on a leash and under control (or in a carrier) at all times on the property.
For your pet’s safety, Halo House Animal Resort does not allow pets from different families to be boarded in the same room.
